I know that a license for an OS is usually for one computer only but if it is used more than once it will be regarded as counterfeit software so if I format my computer with the original windos xp and install windows xp again will my xp be regarded as counterfeit software?

If i wanted to install a different video card or sound card … other than the ones included on an integrated motherboard… would XP automatically detect new sound or video hardware drivers…. or… would I have to physically set some DIP switches or jumpers on the motherboard. I am a an old dude from the DOS days, (DOS 3.3!), the days when a full blown version of Lotus 1-2-3 fit on one 720k diskette. This driver thing is “driving” me crazy. (pun intended).

My windows XP computer crashes all the time. Yet when I got to my dad’s computer (vista) it never crashes! And he has alot space taken up on his than mine! Also my neighbors Vista computer didnt crash when I was on it alot yesterday. Don’t understand why XP is supposedly “oh so much better than Vista”?
Yea…i guess i could say my computer sucks, it sucks ice. extremely. its a Dell Inspiron E1505 and it sucks because i’m too young for a nice thing. and when i say crash this is what i mean:
