I need to format my computer. I have the original windowsXP that came with my computer and my computer says I can’t install it because it is the older version. What do I need to do to use my windows xp cd?

The adaptor is installed and works on the same computer when using me and xp home

I bought Toshiba Satellite M200 Laptop, with vista home premium pre-installed.

I want to create a dual boot system for xp and vista, hence i read those articles online and followed as instructed. I made hard disk partition using Acronis Disk Director. I create 3 partitions:
C (pre-installed vista)
D (logic partition, prepared for xp os)
E (logic partition for file storage for both os).
All in NTSF.

Once I boot from win xp cd, the xp cannot detect hard disk, nor the partition. I checked the hard disk, it’s fujitsu MHY2160BH, belongs to ATA hard disk, so it should not be the SATA hard disk driver issue.

In the article, it did mention that we should check if the win xp driver is installed in the system or motherboard before attempting to install xp. I guess my hard disk maybe related to this.

Please help.
How to installe xp driver into vista system? According to some articles, it is not recommended as it may cause the conflict of the driver etc.

I’m thinking about buying the Acer Aspire AS8930-6306 Notebook. But before I decide I want to know if there even are any XP drivers for all of its hardware. So if you know where to look and what strings to pull let me know if I’d be able to even find drivers for this if I wanted to install Win XP.
A list of where to find them would be nice too.

My wife uninstalled the driver for our Seagate Freeagent external drive from windows xp device manager. Drive works fine on a Vista machine. Can’t find how to reinstall drivers to xp machine. I’ve tried to reboot with Xp disc in cd drive but won’t let me repair drivers. What can i do?

actually i have installd nfs carbon but when i run it a blck scrn comes and it gives error so i read it somwhere that installing nvidia geforce can help it but geforce is also not able to instal
