i recently bought a computer that evidently has an illegal copy of win vista… and i do not want to buy a product key. I would rather keep win xp, which came with the computer, and the product key is on the sticker on the side. But i can’t find a CD anywhere and i can’t seem to find anything helpful on the net. Any suggestions?

(as in displaying the windows logo with the blue bar running across the bottom). When it finally does start though, it’s really quick with no problems. This happens everytime it restarts and even after a fresh install of winxp with nothing else on the hard drive. What can I do? I’ve run spyware and virus scans and it found nothing.

I downloaded a 64 bit xp assuming it was service pack 2, but its service pack 1 (2003). I removed my xp sp3 and installed it. Now it creates alot of problems, drivers won’t work good, my ati radeon catalyst control always gives errors (64 bit ofcourse). I cant update it as its not agenuine one, i just wanted to try out. Can anyone tell me how to crack this thing to update it.

i have a gateway orginaly with vista installed; downgraded back to windows xp but i cannot find a driver for my Marvell topdog wireless network card tried gateway.com and no driver i guess exsist i was wondering if anyone knew if there is a driver out there for windows xp not vista

My polaroid digital camera used to work perfectly with win 2000 since installing win XP it installing the driver disc for camera perfectly, but when I connect the camera ,it comes up “no camera” connected?.
Anyone any ideas

I’m currently running Windows XP Pro and I just downloaded Linux. Can someone help me install linux, but still keep XP. Which partitioning software should I use and with multi-boot software should I use. I know a lot about computers, just not so much reformating and installing operating systems.

A computer was given to me by a friend and they forgot the administrative password. We have tried pressing f8 to nget int safe mode but that isn’t working. Now we are trying to reinstall the windows xp. How would we go about doing so?

i got a dell inspiron 1525 & recently reformatted my Laptop and installed win xp in the recovery drive and fresh copy of vista home premium ,but the has become unstable also i cannot get req. drivers for win xp and now i want to use my recovery(i made a copy on a ext. disk). can any body tell me how i can get it back to factory settings.

I have done all that the troubleshooting progs have asked me to do. Still no joy. The ‘power on’ light is on. The connections are fine. The drivers are installed O.K.What I do not see is any trace of light under the scanner cover when the power is on. Can this be the problem ? and if so what can I do to solve it please.?
