HP Laptop w/intel 4965AGN wireless (WPA security) running against DLink router. Wireless drops and reconnects every 3 mins – very annoying!

when I install software pc says I was successful, when I try to use devices am told drivers not installed. In device manager a yellow question mark appears beside the devices I am trying to use. Pleas help, I am doing this for my parents through a remote assistance connection so it’s not easy.

My mom got a free HP computer from a friend, and it turns out that it was a POS machine and had XP Embedded on it, and won’t take an internet driver, so we are hoping to take out XP_E and put XP_H on it for the drivers can someone help, or know someone that can help

i just downloaded apache and correctly installed it on my win xp home edition . i created a file at c: called mysite and a sub file under it called documents ( c:/mysite/documents )

i saved a file at the documents directory and entered htpp://localhost on my browser but got a 403 error that i can’t have access to the file . I will like to know how to get the apache to show my files .

I only have access to admin account on safe mode. And no I cant install some programs on safe mode. My query is how do I delete the guest user account and have only admin account on normal window because on safe mode, admin Ac states “Admin AC is only visible on welcome screen when no other user account exist(except the guest acc) or when you start comp on safe mode”. I have tried these solutions..so please don’t bother repeating what’s below. 1.I have tried deleting the guest user account on safe mode since am admin then. BUT when log back in normal mode the guest acc is still there? Why is not being deleted on normal window. 2.I have tried going to control panel-user accounts to delete..guess what? It does not give you delete option. 3.So I tried opening another guest account to delete the 1st account still delete option not available..NOW am stuck with 2 guest accounts LOL. 4.Please! I don’t have any virus. I thoroughly checked all drives. with paid Norton.5.I have also tried going through right click computer icon—–properties——advance tab—-user profile BUT to no avail…delete option not available.
6.I have tried both safe and normal mode to go to right click—comp icon—select manage—then comp management and found NO local users tab available.
Any ideas? So my question how do I delete all user accounts and remain with admin ONLY?

I believe a worm or something got into it. my computer runs properly, but for some reason, all of a sudden, I cant access the add remove programs tab because the computer displays something that says that the operation was ‘cancelled due to restrictions on this computer and that I should contact the sytem administrator’. Also, When I try to download my norton 360 anyway, I get the same prompt in regard to the sytem registry. which leads me to the conclusion thatI need to log on as sytem administrator, and change the setting. but I dont know how or where to access these settings. I have windows xp. I believe 2004. PLEASE HELP!!!

Trying to install windows xp on my HP 520 Laptop. Setup cannot detect the hard drive. But there is windows 98 installed in it and working. Is there any driver issue?
