I just got a lap top and I want to put windows xp on it from my computer. It only has windows 95 & I cant get my wireless-G to work with it along with other games and things. Please Help?
My PC keeps blue screening for no reason and i am beginning to think its my processor. Are there new dual core drivers for win xp, if so please link me.
Going through the Found New Hardware Wizard i get an error saying ‘the RPC server is unavailable’. This pc i’m installing the printer on does not have internet connection.
I got a new video card (GeForce 5200) and ran into a few conflicts as my old video card is attached to other hardware on my computer (sound card prolly). I have the new video card working fine, but when I power up my computer, XP finds that I have an old video card and I have to close those little boxes in the bottom right corner saying that XP has found new software. Is there anyway to stop XP from doing that? Everything works fine, It’s just the yellow boxes when it loads up.
I have tried to disable the video card, that is not working as when I restart XP it just finds it again. (you would know this if you would have read my post)
I cannot disable it phisicaly as it is connected to other hardware ( which you would have known if you would have read my post as well.)
What is the point of going to Yahoo anwsers if all people are doing is trying too look for the most obvious anwsers? No one took the time to actualy read my question. What a bunch of losers. Fine, you don’t help me and I won’t help you. Just like a P2P if I don’t help you don’t win. Crappy anwers hurt us all. Everyone who has anwsered is hurting us all.
You all are ruining it for everyone. Thanks. I wish we were in person so I could slap you personaly for not reading. Perhaps you should go back to school and get your GED. Lucky for you because people like me believe in violence. I really would slap you. I do fight. Violence is Golden. punks.
Needtoknow… You are cool.
thank you for the BIOS ideo, how would I go about altering my BIOS to make it disregard my old video card on the motherboard?
my windows xp was a complete disaster (an unfixable login loop, blazefind solution did not work), so i decided to reinstall it, but i didnt want all my stuff to vanish, some of it is valuable! so what i did is install XP in a different folder (i named it WINDOWS2). When i try to access a folder that was in the other windows xp, it says ‘access denied’. is there a way around this? is there a way to still save all my stuff?
oh yah, when i try to log into the old broken windows xp, now it just trys to reinstall it! so now i have a working XP and one that wants to be installed… i know my stuff still exists somewhere on my hard drive because when i look at my C drive, there is still a whole lot of stuff taking up the space.
what do you guys recomend? am i pretty much screwed?
i had my computer cleaned proffesionaly and windows xp re-installed, the ocmpany now gone bust. computer is ok aprt from i have no sound at all. i have checked the drivers and there is no conflict in hardware, sound card etc are all ok. the back up disc i was given only has xp sp1 and then has been updated to sp2 and couple of other upgrades, could my no sound problem be something to do with bios setting being out of date, i dont understand this side of things and would try to change etc unless i had instruction, this is the only other thing i can think of that could be wrong with my sound please can anyone help ……
I just reinstalled WinXP because of a harddisk change. And now, although the new harddisk works well, the system asks for driver when I try to conent to it my thumbdrive.
My USB port and thumbdrive were working perfectly before the reinstallation. Never being asked for driver.
What can I do to solve this?
