How do you increase sound quality on Windows Media Player/Center for Windows XP?

windows xp

The sound quality of the Windows Media Center and Windows Media Player is really crappy on my Windows XP,and I can`t seem to increase the sound quality of my songs. Is there a way to increase the quality, and if there is,please let me know. Thanks!

    The most likely problems:

    - The speakers or headphones are lousy.
    - You’ve set something wrong in the the various player options.

Without knowing what you’re listening to the sound with, or how you’ve set various things up, it’s pretty hard to say much more.
