can i run win 98/98 SE drivers on XP if i have installed it with a Fat32 file system? If not is there and emulator or partch out there i can use to run 98 drivers? if it helps i know they dont make XP drivers for the device… wich is a discontinued 24bit lexicon core2 studio soundcard with optical interface.. better sound quality than any cd player so it isnt obsolete.. just no drivers without running pain in the ass 98

I need to reinstall my Windows xp from my xp upgrade disk and I cannot locate my old Win 98 or Win 95 cd’s.

Is there a certain file that I need that when XP says I need to show a previous version of windows, do I need the entire CD or just a file off that cd?

When I tryed to install Google Web Accelerator, it wouldn’t work, so i had to turn it off. I unistalled it and now the internet doesn’t work. I tryed alot of websites and it says “Address is not Valid.” Messenger can’t connect either. The troubleshooter says “Your gateway appears to be offline.” Internet Explorer connection diagnostics says that “Check to make sure that your Router or Swich is on.” I am absolutely sure it’s on because i can connect to and administrate my router through Internet Explorer at 192.168.2.1.

No programs can use the internet on that computer
I have tryed turning off my firewall
I can connect to the internet through other client computers that use the gateway
I can access and make changes to my router through the problem computer
There is no hardware conflicts on my system
I am using Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
I can view the page for Google Desktop and Offline Pages
I have tried renewing my IP address

Every time my windows xp starts up, A window immediately pops up saying ‘Windows cannot find ‘RVHOST.exe’. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. To search for a file, click start, and then search’. I already deleted the file RVHOST.exe. How can I prevent this window from popping out again ??
I suspect a virus, but when I scanned my computer, the file RVHOST.exe was already healed, & after that I deleted it. So, what’s causing the window to pop up ?

I have win xp operating system which hardly lasts long for 3 days or so because of some unknown reasons(At least for me). I have to reload the operating system from the xp cd which really takes a lot of time .I have seen that Win vista can be repaired from its setup DVD for such problems(probs like WINDOWS/SYSTEM 32/CONFIG/SYSTEM corrupted) .Thats not the case in win xp.Is there any other alternative for quick retrieval oy my operating sustem so that I don’t have to reinstall my audio,video drivers and stuff like that?

I keep getting a hardware failure when I plug in the usb cable, says that there is hardware conflict, please disable or remove hardware device.
