Why is my Windows Xp Setup Freezing during the Installation of the Intel Chipset software?

win xp installation

I did a partition recovery and am installing Win XP from the recovery disk. It goes the thru the recovery, then reboot to finish up. I get all the way thru Software install and it freezes a few seconds after it gets to Intel Chipset. Hmmm. Thats almost 75% done im guessing. Anyone got a clue?? Thanks! Lemme know if ya need more info!
I already did the installation part that requires the disks. At the end of the first part i was asked to remove the disks and then it rebooted and went from there.

My Acer Aspire Win XP laptop wont start up.any ideas?

win xp drivers

When starting the Windows logo will appear as normal but stays on that screen for some time. Eventually the chkdsk window will appear but doesn’t start (i.e. remains at 0%) I have tried starting in safe mode but that just locks when the system is going thru the procedure of loading the drivers. Unfortunately, i have no Win XP disks or any other OEM disks for system restore. There is no floppy drive on the Laptop so I cant use any boot disks either. Does anyone know if i can create Win XP CD & if so, how (i.e. any instructions) or any other ideas

win xp drivers

I’m basically building a new comp with a new case and everything except i’m taking out the harddrive, the two CD RW drives and the floppy drive from my old HP case and connecting these to a Biostar mobo and an athlon processor. My old harddrive used to be run on an intel processor and some mobo (don’t think its a biostar).. So i was just wondering if win XP will detect the changes and adapt to it so i can install the drivers with the cd i get along with the mobo.. Many people say win XP has to be reinstalled and the whole thing but i don’t have the data on my harddrive backed up n i can’t do it now.. so need help n suggestions ppl..

Computer Restarts by Itself! (AKA BSOD!)?

Sunday 4 February 2007 @ 6:08 pm

Okay. So, My comp used to restart by itself. So, I basicly Enabled the BSOD Feature (Blue Screen of death).

Now, when It comes it gives me this information:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Technical Information:
***STOP: 0x0000000A (0xFFFFFFEF 0x000000FF 0×00000001 0x0804E0417)

Immediatly, I did a Google Search. I came upon a solution, to do this:

Start>Run>Type “MSCONFIG> Startup> Disable All.

This from what it seems like, disabled most or all of the processes for my startup. They said, it should stop the problem.

Further enough, I did more research and it got narrowed down that the cause could be one of the following:

-Conflict between programs
-Hardware Malfunctioning
-RAM problems
-Video/Graphics Card Problem

I use, AVG Internet Security, Ad-Watch, Spyware Doctor.

Also:
Windows XP Pro
SP 2
BTW:

I DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT have a Virus, Worm or any other Malicious Software.

Before I asked this, I ran Several Online Scanners, AVG, Spyware Doctor, Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware in Safe Mode.

And they all cameup with either a tracking cookie, or nothing.
Anybody have a solution to this?
No, I don’t use Any drivers from Lexar or whatever that company is.

I think I use ATI/Nvidia
