well i’ve asked a question about the resolution on my computer when i reformatted it which is 640×480, and color quality is 4 bit, i just can’t be able to change it using the properties one, and i cant seem to identify my drivers for the graphics and sound stuff,so anyone have any ideas how can i identify them and where can i download them?because im a beginner and i need a lot of helps from pros…thanks very much!

I buy intel leptop, recently i format my os (vista) i instal windows xp, but i hav no one any windows xp related drivers drivers like audio, wireless,vga,blutooth, dvds…etc….please help me sir…

i’ve been using windows xp for about 3 or 4 years. now i need to upgrade to at least service pack 1 to install a new app.
problem is win xp installed by a friendly IT guy who must have been using a dodgy copy. so i can download sp2 but it wont install. is there a work around for this?
if not i’ll have to go back to w98.

i have a toshiba A200(with Windows Vista installed) and have drivers for Windows XP SP2 .i just want to know if all the Windows XP like SP2, SP3 drivers are same… i mean does Win XP SP2 drivers work in Win Xp SP3??? please give me answers…

I have just installed my Win XP and I see in my driver manager that I have a problem with “controller I simple communications” and with a usb device (which is a logitech camra). Does anyone have any idea how to solve the problem?
Do the two problems have a connection between them?

I bought a new Laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium OS bundled in it and i want to downgrade to XP Pro. I inserted my Win XP installer and could not install it. The error message is “Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer. Make sure any hard disk drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer, and that any disk-related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or setup program.
Setup cannot continue. To quit setup, press F3.”

How do i go about it to be able to successfully install Win XP?

I recently upgraded my computer to Windows Vista… BIG MISTAKE.. its awful and I’m absolutely fed up with it. I want to downgrade my operating system back to Windows XP but I don’t know how to. The computer originally came preinstalled with Windows XP media center and I also have a copy of Windows XP Professional. I tried to install XP professional on to the computer but I was unable to nor do I know how to return to XP media center. Pleassseeee someone help me. I also warn any new computer buyers who are purchasing computers with Vista preinstalled and people who are considering upgrading to Vista to NOT DO IT. There are just way too many bugs and almost all your programs will either not work or have problems…not to mention those any annoying security pop-ups. If you’re just completely into having the latest version of Windows then by all means go ahead but I would highly suggest waiting a while until microsoft fixes it up. Anyways I would really really appreciate the help..Thanks

Overwrote Windows XP Home which the computer came with with Windows XP Professional, but now I need to revert to the original Windows XP. Is it possible? How?

I formated the hardrive last night and reinstalled windows and all of the drivers. The copy of windows is legit, i have downloaded AND installed windows installer 3. windows is regestered AND activated. any ideas? i’m NOT switching to lunix or whatever it is. I have run virus scans and virus scans and they came up clean

I just bought a new pc abt a month ago. It is a Compaq with all the bells and whistles:) Model#SR2038X. I was supposed to get a free upgrade to Vista Premium via a website from Microsoft. Every time I go to upgrade it always says that there is some unrecoverable error and try again later. Well the problem when u try again later is that your certificate of authenticity is not valid bcoz the system already thinks u got your upgrade. I have had the info reset 2x by someone who is customer service for the site. Anyone else having these troubles too?
