Win XP Pro system and i’ve already got Active Virus Shield by Kapersky installed and regularly updated. What other products should i install for total protection? In terms of malware, firewall, phishing etc…. Suggest me a product or a combo please. I would be using the comp for Net Banking and a lot of other sensitive information.

security update has installed but every update it finds the same update downloads it but doesnt install, also had another security update and didnt install that either. automatic updates is running but every update fails.. plz help.. i dont know wheather its updating critical updates or its stuck on that one MSXML 4.0 SP2 Security Update (KB927978)

I have a 60GB FAT32 harddisk partition on a dual boot (Windows XP/Win98) PC. It has worked fine for 2 years. Now, following an improper shutdown and the resulting WinXP ‘checking disks for errors’ screen on startup, Windows XP can’t even read the volume name and asks if I want to format the drive when I try to open it. Properties dialog shows Filesystem: RAW. However, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the partition as far as Windows 98 is concerned (verifies fine with scandisk), and Linux Live CDs such as SLAX also open the partition with no trouble. There is nothing wrong with the physical disk or XP drivers, since other partitions on the drive are fine even from XP. Is there any way to ‘fix’ the disc, i.e. persuade XP that it is fine, short of backing up everything and reformatting (not easy since I don’t have any large HDDs to hand so I’d have to use a stack of DVDs).

my vga controller (compatible) is not installed into my computer and i cannot play any of my games untill its installed…i dont know where to get the drivers for it…most of the sites i went to did not give me the download screen to install the files into the computer, if anyone knows a site that gives the drivers, please tell me it…i really need the drivers

also my pc is a AMD athlon 64 prossesor 3800+ desktop computer…i tried also going to the compaq presario website to try and download there but i couldnt find anythinhg.
