i have a 3G modem that won’t work with MCE, but works on XP SP2. But the drivers my Laptop need are the ones MCE comes with. ie i bought my Laptop with MCE pre-installed

I am looking for a Win XP driver for Win XP Integrated i845GV Video Controller. It’s an integrated video card that comes with Fujitsu Siemens D1740 motherboard. Can anyone help me?

My PC was connected to a TV cable modem. Connection worked for one day then only when it wants, same on another PC. The provider (demand the IP set to automatic) changed the modem but it worked same way.
On another PC, I copied IP\DNS…of automatic connection then set them manually and it works too at any time. My PC don’t connect neither way nor on another provider (switch) but worked 1y ago in a LAN on switch+router.
I changed UTP cable, LAN card (2types), PCI connector, use one or more LAN at a time, reinstall driver for LAN\MoBo, Retried Every Time(auto, manual, netsh int ip [winsock] reset..). I reinstall windows choosing new install on same windows folder but haven’t delete Program Files, My Documents…reTried aLL previous. Same result : 0 packets received, “Limited or no connectivity” and IP 169.254.., Subnet 255.255.0.0, no Gate\DNS. Remains BIOS or MoBo but why died slowly 2times? NOW WORKS who knows how long? All blame for all above to UPC as WORST provider/support/sevice !!!
The supid provider (UPC) ask me to change my UTP cable then my LAN card then the PC.

After 11 days of doings and undoings (as they requested on phone) they send 2 workers to my home which called the sevice department (servers…) and decided to change the modem.

Then all again after 10 days.

Every time from the begining (1 month ago) I told them that the problem lies into their servers. Today they finaly have don something there and now it works.

That’s how UPC do his job!

I paid for a new copy of windows XP which came with a key and the other key is under my Laptop im planning on reformatting the hard drives on it is this legal?

When I right-click on my NTFS partition, there is sharing tab, but not any SECURITY tab to set the permissions !!! Why ?

am using a speedtouch transmitter and linksys receiver. win xp pro.
when i set up security through the software provided it says it cannot connect to the network and just does nothing, litraly, but will connect with no security present. and im sure someone is pilfering it, dam them. help please? and no answers of “i dont know sorry” you dirt points earners.

I have window 98 and I want to upgrade to windows xp , I was just wondering that when I have upgrade to xp is it possible to downgrade to windows 98 again,(I know that I probably wouldn’t go back to 98 but just in case that xp is too slow).
How would I go back to windows 98???? Do I use the recovery disk for it?????What do I do?

My computer died and I needed to do a complete re-install of the system. As a result I lost the drivers and more – including those dealing with the WLAN.

I am trying to get the computer to reconnect wirelessly, but when I look for the wireless possibilities, I am only offered the possibility of connection with WEP. How can I get the machine to connect using WPA? I am using Windows XP Professional.

i have installed the driver pluged in the cables but it does not print properly it doesnt print the text to which i gave the print command
It keeps on printing useless crap !
