Can I use the same Windows XP disk to install on two different PCs having 2 different authentic keys?

I paid for a new copy of windows XP which came with a key and the other key is under my Laptop im planning on reformatting the hard drives on it is this legal?

    It;s the key that represents your license, so it would be legal IF the key worked.

    What you’ll probably find, though, is that the Laptop key works only with the bundled version of Windows that was distributed by that Laptop manufacturer, and will not work with a retail version of Windows XP.

    The CD doesn’t make a difference its the Key that does. You could use the same key but obviously it wouldn’t be a legal copy and you could have problems with updates.

    Yes will support. If you not protectively safeguard any one of your key then other will help you and is like a back-up.
