please give me the steps for win XP os installation in DOS mode. I found my os is corrupted and need fresh installation
I have a computer that has Windows XP Media Edition 2002 service pack 3. It is receiving a few the error messages that some files are either corrupt or missing. I do not have the XP Media CD. I have the 25 digit key for it though. Can I repair it with XP Professional or Home Edition disk that i have? If I can what are the step by step directions?

I have got two Win XP OS loaded on my comp , one in C:\ and other in D:\ .
How do I remove the D:\ one ?
Are there any chances that removing one might crash the other ??

I want the same thing in Windows XP home but cant find it.
it use to work on here but it stoped ive reinstaled windows still no help my vidio drivers are up to date and i cant find more driver for the camera can any one help me mabe even beond this question
I have an ATI Radeon & an ATI TV tuner card. The Radeon was added after the fact, everything that came with the computer is still inside.
The computer is a Gateway Media Center PC running XP Media Center. Windows Media Center won’t run as it complains about the video card (the Radeon) and I cannot use the S Video input to record things into the computer with various software.
The drivers are installed as far as I can tell:
ATI Unified AVStream Driver, Legacy Video Capture Devices, Media Control Devices
But my computer is missing drivers for:
SM Bus Controller, Unknown Device, Video Controller
I have restored the computer recently and many of the drivers needed for the factory installed hardware were not reinstalled. We found what we could and obviously installed drivers for post-purchase hardware.
I can open her up & grab model numbers if it becomes necessary…heh.
Any ideas as to what’s wrong or how I can better troubleshoot this?

Ok, so Im running windows xp, 2 gigs of ram, single core amd processor at 3Ghz
But….I USED to use nortons internet security suite, but then their 2005 version really sucked so I switched to zone alarm. Now zone alarm literally KILLED my computer a while ago, and its begining to do it again. freezing everything, memory leaks, crashing the internet completley….and the problems resume about a month after a reformat.
So Im about to go insane. the 2 “good” companies in security have failed me. What do I do? It doesnt need to even be an all in one solution if you know of a good firewall virus scanner and spyware scanner.

Hi, i bought an fujitsu siemens scaleo xi 2529 with Vista.
I didn’t got any disk with drivers.
And now i want to change to Win XP ’cause i don’t like Vista.
Where do i get the drivers from??
When i search at fujitsu-siemens.com i just find drivers for Vista, will they work on XP or not. If Not where can i find the right drivers for all the nessesery components??
