I want to transfer Win XP from 100GB SATA HDD to 160GB IDE drive but not able to partition 160 drive without installing XP which then gives me XP on both drives. If IDE 160GB drive and 100GB SATA are connected both bios and SATA driver see both drives. But Win XP only sees and boots up on 160 GB IDE, SATA drive not accessable. If IDE 160GB disconnected SATA 100GB boots up ok.
ANY IDEAS on how to set up system so that it boots up on IDE drive and SATA is just another drive on the system.

I recently bought a HP G60-121WM. One of the first things I did was downgrade vista to XP performance edition, but now many of my devices won’t work. Does anyone know where I can find the missing drivers I need, or at least how to tell WHICH drivers I need?

During Setup when it flashes down the monitor press F6 to install Third-party-boot then it says press F2 to run ASM. Then during setup my computer does nothing . The installation does not continue .

I’ve got an HP slimline s3521p, and though I like Vista okay, I just feel like I could do a lot better with XP. A lot of my programs won’t run with Vista, and it’s giving me some strange problems here and there. Is there any way for me to install XP?

I bought new motherboard and CPU. Installed all new drivers from safemode, but XP will not load into normal mode. The HDD came from an eMachine, with an OEM copy of XP installed on it and I have no XP disc. I CAN run in safe mode, but that is all. Any help is much appreciated…
