I am trying to install our printer on Win Serv 2003 64bit the clients are Windows XP Pro will not let me share. When I go to the directory to install on a client it says that the incorrect drivers are installed for this version of windows…is there a special driver that is compatible for 64 bit and regular systems?
Hi, I am about to embark on creating a slipstream win XP pro disc so that I don’t need to spend 4 days installing all the bits of software, SP2, hotfixes and so on whenever I decide my machine needs a fresh install.
I wondered if anyone had any prior experience of doing this, and the particular snags to look out for. My particular questions are these, but please feel free to give more tips:
1. Where do I get all the hotfixes over and above SP2 from?
2. Do you use Nlite to slipstream everything together and make your ISO?
3. What are the most useful programs to chuck into my slipstream?
4. Is there a particular file size of the ISO I have to adhere to? For instance, I would like to slipstream Adobe Photoshop and some other fairly chunky programs.
5. What program do I use to give me the option to select which programs are installed during the Win XP installation process? Ideally I’d like to pick and choose which programs to install.
Many thanks for all your tips!

One is a PC, one is a Laptop, both are using Windows XP. We’re trying to play a multiplayer game without having to connect to the internet.
I have been having reoccurring problems with my internet ever since I upgraded my computer. Previously on my old system I had no problems. I am using the exact same O/S (Win XP), same equipment (Linksys Wireless-G WUSB54GS Ver 2.1), same place in the flat. It seems to be a problem with initialising a connection. Sometimes my browser will take upwards of a minute to start loading a page. Other times it may not even attempt to load it at all. Logging into games such as WoW, which used to be instantaneous, now take noticeably longer. Strangely my connection speed seems to be unaffected, with my downloads still as fast as before. Of course I would like to get this other problem sorted as it makes browsing a tedious and random affair.
We have a Netgear Sky Broadband Router for the record, using a WPK key and the basic out-of-the-box specifications.
Upgrades were;
- New motherboard (GA-965P-DS3)
- New RAM
- New CPU (Core Duo 2.22Ghz give or take)
- New HD (SATA2 240Gb)
The router itself was working before and other people in the flat can connect without problems, so it’s obviously a problem on my end.

Foxconn don’t have this Drivers on their site, i am trying to reinstall win xp pro on this mobo. Or does it already have the Drivers installed? I want to be sure before i start anything. HELP!!
Thanks just got the answer from the first answer, 6 not G. That should do it. Thanx guys.
Ok, so heres the deal. Recently my Asus K8N (AMD socket 754) mobo died on me (possibly becuase of a really bad thunderstorm here) and it left my computer completly useless. Since then I’ve got a new mobo (Asus A8V – AMD socket 939), a new chip, some more memory, and a new PSU. Here the problem. When I boot it up, it gets to the Win XP load screen and instantaniously restarts. I think this is because the drivers from my old board are conflicting with the new hardware.
My question:
Is there a way for me to get rid of the old drivers and install the new ones without formating my entire drive or buying another Asus K8N board? I really don’t want to loose my files, programs, and settings.
