What happens if my XP PRO crashes?

I recently bought a refurbished Dell computer from Ebay and it has Windows XP Pro allready installed in the computer.
My question is what happens if my system crashes becuse i did’nt get an XP disc with the computer?
Can i use someone elses XP disc and use my serial number that is on the back of this computer.

I have a Toshiba Laptop with Vista. How can I install Windows 98 to be able to install the upgrade Windows XP?

Have Vista installed on Toshiba Laptop. It is a single Core processor and has 2G of Ram, but runs very slow…. I just bought a Windows XP Home upgrade disc. I have an old copy of Windows 98 to use for the upgrade. How do I install Windows 98 onto my Laptop, then upgrade 98 to XP?

I run windows xp. Plenty of computer. Never had any problems. It’s not volume or connection settings or hardware conflicts. What is wrong? Could it be my soundcard?

What is & how do i “compile a win xp dvd”?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A40-S200 Laptop which has Vista on it but i want xp. It doesn’t have a floppy drive so i cant grab the drivers. Someone said i should compile my own win xp cd or something like that.
Are your eyes painted on? I have a vista Laptop and i’m trying to get xp on it. Google it again , cause many people have the same problem. And of course it would be a no-brainer if there was a hard drive for me to install it on.

when i try to format the hard drive ,it says there is no hard drive detected….thought there is a good hard disk in my Laptop..kindly let me know what software to install to enable detection of the hard drive and go in for win xp pro installation
