I bought a Pavilion s3020n with preinstalled Win Vista. I found out that Vista does not support my printer driver and a few other softwares which use to run good on Win XP.
Is it possible to format the HD and install Win XP? Will XP run good?

Password is set on before starting Win XP. I just want to know if there is another way to solve the problem or I have to reinstal Win.?

i have a pc with proceesor of 1.7 ghz which is intel 961.
i have installed win xp in that then after finishing the installation
there was no audio installed in it.i tried to reinstall or repair but it didn’t work. so plz telll me a good soln.

I format my hard drive and i’m want to install xp but went it start to copy the Fields to install the win it show me a blue screen with Sept up cannot copy the file: riodrv.sys and some others fields like that one
at the end i got the blue screen
but when i put the same cd and the same hard drive in another computer and try tu install the XP work fine????
it the same with all the xp cds and the one that i;m using is the recovery disk that come with the computer

I recently bought a usb mouse and windows will not install the driver for it. Windows sees that it is there but it keeps asking for the driver for it. Everything i have tried such as reinstalling the usb controller drivers has not worked. Windows just keeps asking for the driver location. The mouse did not come with drivers, as they should be on board or installed when plugging it in. I tried this mouse on another computer and it works just fine. What’s missing that it won’t install. Please Help. Thanks.

I can not install a new printer. Device manager shows my LPT port to be fine. I tried downloading and insalling new HP software/drivers and it would’nt do it. How do I start Print Spooler Service in Win XP?

Yesterday my computer got a trojan on it, to remove it I have to download Windows defender but to do that I have to download windows xp service pack 2 but to download that I have to go to windows update but to that I have to install an active X control.

I really do not want to this this so can someone explain and easier way to reboot the xp system or something?

I have win 98 CD and i want to put it on my comp but win xp is not going down without a fight Please help me
