Windows xp crashing during startup??
hi My windows xp crashes during startup ..there is a flicker of a blue screen for a milisecond before it dies and then it keeps asking if i want to start in safe mode…when I bought the Pc I got no windows xp cd or start up disc..any i deas or help is apreciated….i can start in safe mode
i already tried system restore its still happening?? Ran norton anti virus software nothing showing up

okay smiley i did what you said and now i get a blue screen on start up saying driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and a whole load mre gobbeldy ****??what next??

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL = Badness. It happened to my Laptop and I can’t use it any more. You might want to take it in to the Geek Squad or Staples.

    Could be a number of things, might need to gather a bit more information. You can look in event viewer from safe mode.

    You can get to the Event Viewer by right clicking My Computer icon and select Manage.

    All Errors logged in the Event Viewer are marked with a red X or Yellow !, these can be expanded by double clicking on the error line.

    Take any event error I.D. number and search for it on these sites.
