my computer cannot see new Seagram Free Agent Go 250 GB drive after what appeared to have been a successful installation. Tried it on another computer with same results. Please advise!

having trouble with start up,some1 tryd to repair win.xp proffesional with win.xp home cd.can i erase .also can i repairxp proff without cd.internet explorer keeps closing.help

My sons computer has windows xp on it. When you click disk cleanup it gives the normal items to delete…….Downloaded program files, Temporary files, Recycle bin…Etc.. Everything cleans up fine except the webclient/publisher temp files. It says it has 137,424 of disk space that could be cleaned up. But when we check the box it never deletes the stuff. Do I need to go somewhere else to enable or disable something to make this work? Thanks for all help.

I tried using xp installation disk to reformat a virus/spyware infected hd but the dos exe file refuse to execute clean install or reformating the hard disk.

Pre win98 there is a disk manager utility we use to reformat hard disk. Can we find a utility that can still do this function? Erasing installed xp?

Sometimes my friends use my computer, even if i have guest account and limited user account for them to use, some of them are interested to log in my account. I am unable to say no to them. I dont like them modifying my prog or installing any new applications. Is there any way to restrict them to install new application. I tried install block. But i am not satisfied. Is there anyother prog like that to restrict installation.

I want to login in Windows XP 2 as Administrator as a new user who doest know any administrative passwords( note: I even dont have any user accounts or password). Is there any master password, trick, code anything which we can apply to all Windows XP 2 so we can login.

I am trying to utilize not only backtrack from usb but also ophcrack and a usb version of knoppix. the problem is that all of these require me being able to boot from the usb. I have a phoenix bios toshiba that only has HDD, fdd, cdrom, and LAN in the boot menu of the bios, That is why i need to install the usb drivers into the bios. any help appreciated : )
