Say, I have a windows vista install disk, and I install it, but don’t have the product key, and therefor can’t activate it, will I be able to use the windows 7 upgrade disc and install windows 7, or will I have to have an activated windows vista first?

I have a Sony Vaio Laptop and I recently switched from Windows Vista Ultimate to Windows 7. My Laptop can connect to the network and it even says it has internet access sometimes but whenever I try to go on the internet, it doesn’t work. It’s so frustrating!
How would you find an MS networking file???

I know it’s the first team that scores wins, but let say the Steelers scored a touchdown. Does it end right there, with the Steelers winning by 6, or do they let them kick the extra point to win by 7? The reason why I’m asking, because I was worried at one time since I had the Cardinals +6 1/2.
Excuse me, Super Bowl. Satisfied Jeff The Teacher.

I have Vista on one drive and im planning to install Windows 7 on another that already has Windows XP. will it be safe to insatll both and then have a dual boot system? If so, will my Vista (main OS)files be safe?
XP is on a different drive and Vista is on another. I am going to install install Win7 where Xp is, on ANOTHER drive…but this way it will be safe rite? and my system wont get sluggish?

hey atm im running vista premium and wanted to try out windows 7 now. I have heard some say not to make it your sole OS ? I dont use it for business, just some school work here and there, movies, internet, and games.
Any downsides to having win 7 as my SOLE and only OS?
and if you say no. say why?

I was just wondering and think it would be assume idea, as you wouldn’t need to open up media player to View or listen to media, and it would also obviate the need for these extra peaces of software. As some people don’t even need to use media player to organize the songs ETC. they can just use explorer. And i also wonder this because you have download media player separate, because it wont be installed with Windows 7? what your ideas on this?
I mean will you be able to play media files directly in windows explored, without extra software e.g media player
