My toshiba Laptop keeps shutting down without warning about five times a day. When I try to go to Power Options in control panel, it says, “To adjust power management settings, close microsoft windows xp power options and use toshiba power saver.”
First answerer: I get the same pop up message as before.
When I click “Power options” it will give me that message and will not let me click anything on that Power Schemes box, it’ll just open and be gray.

It’s the 990 model and I need the drivers for the USB connection. I misplaced the installation disk that came with the camera. I’ve already tried the store where I bought the camera, no luck. I’ve tried to locate access through the Sony website but it’s a bit cumbersome.
I’m willing to purchase said drivers but I can’t locate any to make an order. Any ideas?

I am experiencing Aero performance issues in Windows 7 BETA build 7000 and I have read that it likely has something to do with PowerMizer. There are registry instructions to disable it for Vista, but a few things are different from Windows 7. If anyone has successfully disabled PowerMizer in Windows 7, could you please tell me how?

I’m not sure how to resore the Control Panel or why it went away. When I click on Set Program Access and Defaults, it tells me restrictions are in effect on this computer. It’s the only user and I’m not sure how to go about resetting access. Can anyone help me?

I just got my hands on windows 7. Do not ask me how I got it, anyways I installed it on my virtual pc. It is nobetter than that of vista. I hate vista. It is in the beta stages. What are we going to do if we keep having microsoft giving us garbage. What is there besides mac? I also hate mac with a passion. Is ubuntu and linux? What can linux do. Can it do the things windows can do like with media center.

I have Windows 7 installed on my computer and I want to remove it. How do I do it? I partitioned my hard drive so it’s not on the same drive as Vista.
