I have and EVGA x58 3x SLI Motherboard and just recently updated my computer to windows 7 release candidate. It works fine but i have no sound. My graphics and every other driver is working except sound. Can someone help me fix this or find a working sound driver?

Since ATI stopped supporting the x1950 series, its been hard to find the latest drivers. I need one that will work with Windows 7(or Vista 64 bit). BIOS changes can work as well. Omega drivers could possibly have something. Thanks ahead of time!

I’m planning on using Windows 7 as the operating system for a computer that I have yet to build, so there won’t be any OS to upgrade from. As such, I’ll need to obtain a version of Windows 7 Professional that can do a clean install.

i just want to know that is it ok to put my important documents, files and programs on windows 7. I heard windows 7 crashes a lot. How frequently will my pc crash if it’s using windows 7.

What is this Windows 7? Is it Vista? Why is it announced so quickly after Vista? Is there anything special to it, ie, a special edition of Vista?

i don’t think anyone can give me an exact amount because it hasnt been released yet but just a ballpark figure would be great as to what kind of discount they offer when upgrading to the (not released yet) windows 7 from windows xp… anyone know how around how much windows seven will cost before this discounted price…just another ballpark.

I have a Sony Vaio, which I bought about 2 years ago, and it has Vista in it. Do I get a free upgrade to windows 7 or do I have to pay for it?

I’m not really sure anyone read anything before downloading windows 7. What makes them think a beta is going to be perfect? I’m just asking.
Ya, I suppose so. But some still complain about Windows 7 like they paid for it, that kind of annoys me.

I wanted to try out the Beta of Windows 7 that Microsoft was offering, but didn’t have time - I have my own key, I just need the install files. Where can I get them? Is there any 3rd party sites hosting these files, that anyone knows about?
