I recently upgraded my system from Windows Vista x64 to Windows 7 x64 and installed all the games that I had. Where Crysis ran perfectly fine on Win 7, The Sims 3 started lagging like hell. I have upgraded all the drivers and everything but the game still lags. The confusing part is that it was working so smoothly in Vista that I can’t believe that it would be lagging in Win 7.
My specs:
Q6600, 6GB Ram, Radeon 4870 512MB
I don’t think its specs related as the game was running perfectly fine without ANY lag on Vista but started lagging (to the point of no playing) in Windows 7. I am running at the same settings as in Vista:
Resolution 1280×1024 etc. etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Windows XP with service pack 3. Internet Explorer 8 loses the internet connection after about 15 minutes and all you get is it saying connecting when you try to load a website but nothing loads.
I can still surf the Internet in other browsers like Firefox, Opera etc.
I have to restart Windows XP each time before I can surf the internet in Internet Explorer 8.

My computer keeps rebutting randomly. The error message I get after rebutting states Error Code Blue or something. basically one of my hardware is the cause of this error. I believe is the hard drive not sure. Now Windows 7 is out and I’m thinking of upgrading from XP to Win 7. So my question is, should I get a new hard drive first then upgrade to Win 7 or vice versa.

I am getting a new PC soon and it is coming without an OS. What would happen if I borrowed a friend’s Win XP SP3 disc to install it on my PC? Will it “phone home” and get me in trouble? I am waiting to buy Windows 7 when it comes out and I can’t afford both. Thanks.

I have a 5 yr old pc that I want to install win 7 on. I want to know if win 7 is friendly with older pc’s.
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2.16 GHZ
1.5 RAM
320 GB
I’m just worried that the video card won’t be able to handle it.
