Is it possible to get a gutted old 24′ trailor w/no papers or VIN id used 4 storage 7+yrs legally registered?

vin 7

It didn’t seem difficult to get a 5yr PermTrailor Registration off DMV site but AAA told me I couldn’t even get a day pass to transport without registration papers, and it must be registered if moved to our property. They need it moved - I need to move my storage. Is it worth a trip to DMV?

Have a wrecker move it, or if your not worried about a ticket move it yourself. IF your only going to be moving it and then parkign it again just hook up to it and move it.

Call the DMV. They will tell you. If they can’t call the police…not emergency line though. I had a boat trailer that I moved from Dallas, TX to Dallas, GA, around 800 miles. It was built in 1976. No title and no plate. All I had was a hand written bill of sale to move it. I didn’t get stopped. I called the DMV and they told me how to register. Ended up getting id number and registration easily. It is always easier to call before traveling to find out what you need to do.
