microsoft wont let me download as i cant validate my xp sp2 disk number

My computer has the following…
-900Mhz AMD Athlon Processor
-128MB Memory
-30GB hard drive
-8MB Nvidia TNT2 Graphics

I want to know what i should upgrade them with.I want to upgrade the hard drive,Memory and Graphics card.I also want to upgrade the AMD Processor to a Intel Duo Processor.

So really what i am asking is what should i upgrade my Memory,hard drive and graphics card to

I need to upgrade to get this online job that said my computer didn’t meet the minimum requirements cause it runs slow so what can i do to fix it? Is it less than purchasing a new computer? Will it be up to par?

XP SP1 is supposed to already have the driver, but when I connect the hard drive windows does not recognize it.
Windows recognizes that a USB device is attached, but can’t find a proper driver for it.

during a computer operating system upgrade do your files stay where they are. im going to be upgrading a computer from xp to vista if i were to choose upgrade instead of a custom install onto the whole harddrive would all the pictures and movies and music and crap on the desktop still be there once i boot the computer up within the newly installed operating system. oh and no i dont want to do a partitioning thing i want to do an entire os install on the whole harddrive.

I had an old computer recently replacd by Vista. Once, an updated video driver from Microsoft’s automatic updates nearly killed that system. Is it OK to use Windows Vista’s driver updates, or should I go to each website and double-check?

I have an Acer Extensa 2300. I want to connect it to an existing internet connection thing that we use for our desktop computer. So I plug in the modem thing that plugs into our desktop into my Laptop, but it doesn’t work. Do I have to set up something on my Laptop? I’d like it to be wireless. If I plug a wireless adapter into my Laptop would it be able to connect to the modem that is used for the desktop?
