Recently my floppy drive died. The only thing I use the floppy for is installing the ATA133 drivers (so windows can see the hard drive) if I have to reinstall windows.

The Windows XP Pro disk that I own is the original release and does not have any of the service packs on it; so during the install the only option that I see is to insert a floppy disk. Is there a way to get the installation to recognize a Flash Drive or a CD?

I’ve looked around various websites and asked a number of people about the particular types of job opportunites I could get after completing my studies of multimedia computing, but no-one seems to provide me with the confident and sure fire answer that I’m searching for.
I’m wondering if anybody could help me with this query, I’d be very grateful. Thanks

In the past, I have seen Computers with Windows XP that have two partition. Some People like to have two partition, and others like to have one partition. I myself like to have one big C: Drive. So therefore one partition is ok with me! But why do some People like to have have two partitions in a 32 bit Windows XP?
I myself use the professional edition.

Alright i’m getting a Laptop sometime soon and well, I want a Laptop that runs games smoothly, and can run programs and all sorts alright….I plan on keeping it under $900 dollars though. I dont really want a vista kind of computer because I just dont..But anyways I need to know sometime soon.

I am using a Microsoft Lifecam vx3000 Webcam im borrowing from my sister. I have to have a webcam and i refuse to buy one or take this one back. I have windows 2000 on the Laptop im using and the webcam apparently requires XP or higher. I can’t find any shape/form of a driver for Windows 2000 for this webcam. Whatever happened to backwards compatibility? Is there not some generic webcam driver or unorthodox workaround out there to allow the webcam to perform the basic function? Some way? PLEASE!!!! lol This is 2007, there has GOT to be a way to make it work with some sort of a fake driver or something….

I have had my Laptop for a couple of weeks and due to being uncareful my sister scratched my Laptop screen! And it’s not a minor scratch it is a deep scratch that you can feel. So i was just wondering if anyone out there knew how to fix a severly scratched Laptop screen, either by home remedies or buying products or sending it to the shop, anything will help! Please respond!
P.S- My Laptop is a dv6000 hp pavilion with an HD screen.
