I have a Laptop with Windows XP S2 and i was wondering if i could find out a user password of a different administrator. I know you can change the password in command prompt, but i was wondering if you could find out the password, so it doesn’t change the account in any way. Thanks.

I have got a wireless router and am able to connect to the internet if the Ethernet cable is connected from the router to the Laptop. Once I unplug this I lose internet connection. My Laptop apparently has inbuilt wireless features I just don’t know how to make it all work!!! Do I have to get another part or set up something on the Laptop to make it receive the wireless connection?
Totally Confused

For example, If I were to buy a desktop for $500 and spent another $500 upgrading it, would it be equivalent to a $1000 computer?

I’m really interested in computing but the maths side of things puts me off a bit. Just wondering if there are any degree courses that perhaps focus more on utilisation rather than the maths side of things. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have windows vista and I am trying to install an older version of xp which is 2002 but for some reason it says “Setup cannot continue because the version of Windows on your computer is newer than the version on the CD.
Warning: If you decide to delete the newer version of Windows that is currently installed on your computer, the files and settings cannot be recovered.”
but there is nothing that says continue ,or to proceed with the action that i have chosen, so what do i do?
PLEASE && THANK YOU.

Say i have 2 Laptops and on one Laptop the screen is black but i can hear the drives/fans spinning, can i connect this dead screen Laptop to a good Laptop via male-to-male vga (or DVI) cable to see if if it’s just the screen that the problem is with?
I suppose i would press Fn + F7 to switch to the other Laptop monitor.
I know you can do this with an external monitor but how about Laptop to Laptop?

K I want to get a new Laptop that I can use for gaming (as well as for school), but want to be cost efficient. Im not picky about brands or about size (physical size), I just want a Laptop. So what would the best Laptop be in terms of stats and price?
Note- I have a portable hard drive with 500 Gb of memory so Im not to picky about hard drive space on the Laptop itself either.
