When one antivirus software is working in the computer,
What will happen when tried for a second one to work?

I’m planning on replacing one of my Laptop‘s hard drive with an external hard drive that I bought a while ago. The thing is that I don’t know what’ll happen to my Laptop when I replace it.
I understand all the data and things inside my C: will be gone but since the hard drive is replaced, does that mean you have to reinstall Windows and go through all those setup menus like you did when you first bought the Laptop?

I am on a home network utilizing FiOS. Both my PC and Laptop utilize wireless connections (as do two other computers), with one main computer connected to the FiOS router.

I want to share folders between my PC and Laptop that the others cannot access or see at all, so that they do not know the network exists. Can someone recommend a good website to give me step by step instructions?

I now go to the library to get on the Internet because a rogue virus got on our computer and destroyed our entire operating system. It somehow bypassed our Norton antivirus software, and I don’t understand it because I run Live Updates several times a DAY. (I finally decided I was sick and tired of having to spend a fortune on antivirus software, only to have my computer destroyed anyway).

I know that installing 2 antivirus programs on a computer can be disastrous.

But is it ok to install an antivirus program (Avast) and spyware removal (Spyware Doctor) on the same computer?

I have desktop computer that has a printer plugged into it. The desktop runs Windows XP. I also have a Laptop that runs Windows Vista. I have a wireless router connected to the desktop so I can connect my Laptop to the internet, but can I wirelessly print things off my Laptop? My husband uses the desktop for school and I use the Laptop for work and I’d rather not have to keep switching the plugs around.
