The red flickering could be because the screen is not displaying black properly.

My Dell Trinitron monitor for my computer (about 8 years old) periodically makes a high pitched sound. If you adjust the monitor (up or down) the noise will stop. What causes this? Can it be fixed?

The cord that connects the computer monitor to the computer. Most of them are blue. At the end of the cable that connects to the computer, there are these pins/needles. 3 rows of 5 pins/needles.

If a there is one pin/needle missing, could a pin/needle from a different monitor(different brand too) be put in place of it?

How do I adjust the size of my Windows XP?

windows dvi monitor

I bought a 32″ LCD Monitor and hooked it up to my PC. I have the resolution set to 1280×768. It looks good except that the left side of the screen seems to be just a little cut off. To give you an idea…on the start icon at the bottom left, I can only see the green and yellow blocks of the microsoft flag. The red and blue blocks are cut off. My monitor has a button to move the image over to the right but when I do that, there is just black coming from the left…so it’s not that the image is bigger than the screen, it image is just cropped. I’ve tried all the other resolution setting with no luck. I have the monitor connected with the VGA cable. I have the option of using a DVI cable but would have to go buy one. Not sure what to do at this point.
The monitor is just Plug and Play. No drivers. It’s a Westinghouse LTV-32w3 HD

Will an Acer X193WB 19″ monitor be compatible with windows xp?

windows dvi monitor

I’m wanting to purchase a lcd monitor, but one of the reviews someone stated that the monitor wasnt compatible with windows xp?I was told that the only thing you should be aware of is whether the connection was analog or dvi?If its analog then you shouldn’t have any problems hooking a lcd monitor to an older computer? So my question is, does the lcd monitors work with any windows, like windows xp? or is it just the connection port you should be aware of?

My monitor says “check signal cable” That’s my DVI cable right?

windows dvi monitor

Trying to install windows vista on my new custom built computer? I have a Samsung syncmaster and all I see is a floating box that says check signal cable.
How DO I FIX THIS. Please Help
I have checked and double checked the connection of the DVI cables. I guess the Video card may not be in all the way or tight enough.

The thing that confuses me the most is that the there was a connection because I got to the windows intallation screen. A message said that windows would restart multiple times which never happened that I can remember. After the screen was blank for about an hour and half I got worried. So, I restarted the computer. Since then the monitor either says no signal or there’s just a flashing blue light

How can you boot into DVI?

Thursday 30 July 2009 @ 4:23 pm
windows dvi monitor

I have a GeForce 4 Mx440 (ASUS v9180) and can only use Windows XP on my Tandberg Ergoscan TFT monitor (on a DVI output) after booting into Windows on my CRT monitor (on an older style output). If I attempt to boot up with both monitors on and connected, the TFT’s screen is black and the CRT is black with blurry lines on.
