Today i got a Laptop for Christmas. From my previous computer I had transferred all the songs onto my iPod and they are all on but i need to transfer them to my new Laptop. I recently got a Laptop which runs on windows 7, but it doesn’t recognize my iPod. I have tried following the advice given on the apple website re updating/ reinstalling the iPod driver, but I don’t think there is one on my computer in the first place. In device manager it just says unknown device, reinstalling this driver fails, and if I try to update it I get a message saying the best driver is already installed. I’d really appreciate any suggestions.
Does anyone knows how to synchronise a microsoft works calendar to a 1GB iPod nano? I just got a message saying that you need microsoft outlook installed but I don’t have that installed and I’m not ever going to either. Please reply if you know how,
thanks xxx
So I am trying to sync my Zune after the trouble it’s had the past few days.
But when I plug it into the usb cable it keeps connecting and disconnecting.
What should I do?
I have an iPod touch that crashed, I connected it to the computer to tryed to restore it. Windows vista lists it as Apple Mobile device when trying to install drivers and cannot find the drivers. Then I tunes wont update. I tryed setting it in Dfu recovery mode but to no avail. Is there any way i can get it restored?
Hi.
I’m running Windows Vista on a Dell Vostro PC, and the latest version of Windows Media Player is installed. For some odd reason, if I connect any flash device to the USB port on the machine, Windows Media Player pops up in the background and automatically starts retrieving the album art off the net for every album on my hard drive. I go back to my folders and they are littered with *.ini files and Album_art image files. The only way to shut it off is to go into Task Manager and shut it off from there. The program never actually shows up in the tray, and the only way I know it’s even running is that my computer cursor switches to the “working” cursor. This is getting really annoying, as my mp3 collection is getting too large to keep going in and deleting these things. Can anyone help me with this?
Much appreciated!
PLEASE READ ALL THE QUESTION BEFORE ANSWERING.
I have a Goodmans GMP33000S mp3 player.
I have connected the MP3 to the Pc Via USB and put the instalation CD into the drive all seems ok and there is an image on the MP3 saying it it linked to the PC.
With my Old MP3 I uploaded the software and once that was done the MP3 showed up on Windows Media Player
You know when you are on WMP and you go to Sync and on the Right it says Connect a Device how do i get my MP3 to show there so I can drag my music along?
To Livingh20 I have already tried that thanx
After I plugged in the USB cable for new yp-p2 player, winn/xp can not recongnised this device as no drvice driver can be found.
I’ve downloaded that from their web, but that is only the apllication to do the files transfer between your PC and the P2 device. My problem is win/xp does not recognise my P2 and always looking for the device driver for it.
I’m using win/sp SP2 with Window Media player 11, but it still doesn’t recognize my P2. I’ve connected Sansa to this machine as MPT device. May be that caused the problem. But I do not know how to fix it.
