I need help installing audio driver for windows xp?
The manufacturer for motherboard is ECS, and the model is 761GX-M754-964, i tried to google it but the results weren’t so great, if anyone can help or post a link to the proper audio driver it would be a great help. Thanks!

Cant get windows 7, computer is pretty old

i have pc with windows ME and i want to install windows xp on it. anyway, i don’t have the start up disk. is it possible to install windows xp over windows ME without using start up disk?

I have a custom made Arbico PC and have recently installed XP from a Cd and in doing so all my drivers uninstalled themselves. I’ve managed to get back the display and network driver but cannot seem to find the right sound driver, is there a particular type for windows XP, or are they all different. Btw I’ve already tried realtek and some of the ones they recommended but still nothing. please help. thx..

As more and more companies move towards cloud computing and web based apps, does anybody else think it will eliminate many IT jobs, hardware and software companies? If everything is running in large data centers, won’t this be where most jobs will be based?

I just bought an HP Pavilion Slimline s7700n with Windows Vista. I wish to upgrade the RAM from 1 GB to 2 GB, and also the video card. Here are the specs…

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.00 GHz
1024 MB RAM (894 available as of now)
Nvidia GeForce 6150 LE (128 MB video ram PCI slot I think)
-I’ve also been told that my computer only supports up to 512 MB video RAM, but I really have no idea…

First question: If I want the most out of gaming, what video card from Nvidia should I get?

Second question: When choosing a video card, what is the difference between PCI and PCI-express? Is PCI significantly slower? Can it be upgraded to use a high level video card as much as a PCI-express?

Third question: What other aspects do I have to worry about when thinking about a new video card? Do I have to purchase a new power supply? And if so, how do I know what to get?

I realize these are a lot of questions, but any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, I believe that the computer only has two slots for RAM, and at the moment contains two 512 sticks. I’ve been told that it can only support up to 2 GB, but if take both of them out…why can’t I use say two 2 GB sticks?

Since I have a PCI slot instead of a PCI-Express slot, is there anyway to upgrade to a PCI-Express?

my mum re-formatted my computer and now my speakers dont work. i have the compaq pressario SR2109UK! anyone no how to get the udio driver for that? im on wondows xp! but when i bought the computer it was windows vista! but i cant find the cd to re-install vista!

I have recently bought a USB Hub for my Windows 7 and when I plugged it in it gave me a “driver blocked due to incompatibility” message. So I unplug the hub and each time I boot I get the same message and my other devices, connected through USB, do not work. So I can’t work on it cause my mouse and keyboard don’t work. I’m wondering what the problem is since I tried plugging in another mouse and keyboard but it still gives me this error.

I have a computer that has very laggy games. I have 1.30 GHz and 480 mb of RAM. How do i upgrade the 1.30 GHz?

I am using a Microsoft Lifecam vx3000 Webcam im borrowing from my sister. I have to have a webcam and i refuse to buy one or take this one back. I have windows 2000 on the Laptop im using and the webcam apparently requires XP or higher. I can’t find any shape/form of a driver for Windows 2000 for this webcam. Whatever happened to backwards compatibility? Is there not some generic webcam driver or unorthodox workaround out there to allow the webcam to perform the basic function? Some way? PLEASE!!!! lol This is 2007, there has GOT to be a way to make it work with some sort of a fake driver or something….

The computer I use is 5 years old… It’s 256MB of RAM and 1.80GHz… Should I upgrade the memory, etc or just get a completely new computer…? What upgrades should I get if I do decide to do that and where do they sell the little extras that go in your computer??
