Why is it more economical to buy a new computer than to upgrade?

I really want to maximize efficiency by upgrading versus buying a totally new computer , but nowadays the market is geared towards dumping the old technology and just simply telling you to buy a new one. Even if I wanted to upgrade hardware, the prices should be way lower for parts versus a brand new computer…Maybe I’m just too efficient or logical.

I just installed Windows Vista Business recently and I need Vista drivers for my ATI Radeon 7500. Does anyone have any ideas where I can download one? Some people say the ATI Radeon 9000 driver will work, but I don’t know where to download that for Vista either.

How do I stop Windows from auto-installing a driver for my tablet?

I just got a new Bamboo (Wacom) tablet. Whenever I start my computer up, it auto-installs a mouse driver for it that doesn’t allow for pressure sensitivity. I’ve downloaded and installed the working driver and set my device installation settings to “Let me choose what to do – Never install driver software from Windows Update,” and yet it still automatically replaces the working driver with the nonworking one.

I’m running Windows 7.

win 7 drivers

I’m using an Asus M79A4 Deluxe motherboard and Win 7 will not accept my MB audio drivers. I am also running two Sapphire 1gig 4870′s crossfired. I can only run basic video drivers…even running something as simple as World of Warcraft on the lowest settings crashes frequently from overtaxing the video…can someone point me toward trustworthy drivers? Asus and Sapphire’s web site’s don’t appear to have them available. I emailed Microsoft but they haven’t replied. Thanks in advance for your help!
