We currently have kaspersky antivirus. I was wondering if there was a comparable open source antivirus softwaremanufacturer.We currentlydo not have internet security software installed on our computer.

My computer is infected with trojan and other viruses caused by vista antivirus 2008. What is the best and free program to permanently remove the said vista to my computer? Thanks.

I have Norton Antivirus installed on my pc, and it expires on 9/16/06. Today it said in the control panel that I had no virus protection and I do scan daily.I want to change to a different antivirus program. Any recommendations?
I want to know how to correct the problem now before I uninstall the program and install a new program.

My current antivirus is about to expire and i need a new one. I don’t want to use the one i have now because it caused me a lot of problems. I need to find a new one that does have to be constantly updated(every month or so is okay not every day), doesn’t slow my computer down, is good at block viruses spyware and all the other bad stuff i don’t want on my pc. It also needs to be able to work with windows.

I used an antivirus xp 2008 trial and it said that it could remove about 3,000 viruses after it scanned it and when i tried other programs, they only say that they can remove like 100… so is there a program that will remove ALL my viruses??

My desktop computer is completely blocked from the internet and has begun to function VERY slowly. Last night ads for Antivirus System Pro began popping up and today it won’t let me log onto the internet. I can’t download a malware remover because of this, and I can’t seem to find any of the files for this anywhere on my computer… Any help would be wonderful! Thanks in advance.

Hi, My norton internet security free 90 day trial just ran out.. and I really need a new antivirus program because I keep getting this Registry Mechanics thing popping up saying I have all of 100 things wrong with my computer, which the internet says is a virus or malware or something.. So I’d really like your opinion on which program to use? Thanks for the help!

I have a trial version of an Antivirus on my computer, that came with it, since it’s new. It runs out very soon, but I don’t like it. How can i safely and completely remove this Antivirus, and completely install a new one to protect my computer?

P.S. this antivirus shuts off my firewall and all that, because it has its own, when i remove this AV will i be able to turn it back on, or do most AV’s come with their own firewall

Hi. After running a series of free virus/malware scan software, I get an alert on my PC, saying that the computer doesn’t detect any anti virus software, making me think I have deleted the installed software we already had by accident (we have a firewall and antivirus as part of a suite). How can I tell if antivirus is still there and working properly?

What is the most highly rated antivirus program out now? Also is windows firewall a sufficient enough firewall?
I am currently running avg.s free edition, but Im not sure its the best. Anyone have any experience with it one way or the other?
