yes the IROC came with the 350ci L98, 5spd Manual Tranny & T-Tops i ordered it that way 20 years ago no engine swap or anything it is even in my vin number engine L98 5.7 Liter its a rare one there were only a few 350 IROC’s with Manual Trannys otherwise you could only get the 305ci with a manual tranny and T-Tops unless you were smart enough to order it like that or you got one of the very few rare (1LE package IROC’S that had the 350ci,5spd Manual Tranny w/T-Tops) so now that thats out of the way for you curious people i have removed the Catalyic Converter’s from both my V6 and IROC to free up a couple of extra horses & Torque anyways i did and it really didn’t do anything for the V6 Camaro but for my IROC i Can feel a little bit more punch anyways the aftermarket Catalyic Converters are pretty pricy so what can i put in place of the catalyic Converter of the V6 Camaro to make it quiet again and more fuel efficient?

Is it really that important to win the Daytona 500 so that you can be in the elite company of greats such as Derrike Cope, Michael Waltrip, and Ward Burton, who have all “accomplished” this? And if you are truly nothing until winning the Daytona 500, does this mean Dale Sr was just average until 1998 when he won his first? Even though his 7 championships came before 1998?

I just saw an answer on my other question that one of the answers seemed to think that drivers were nothing until they won a Daytona 500…but it seems like Derrike Cope, Michael Waltrip and Ward Burton BECAME nothing after they won it. What are your thoughts? Does the Daytona 500 take anymore skill than any other race or just luck to avoid wrecks and hope you have the draft?
