I upgraded two PCS from XP home edition to XP pro edition and now both are failing to load microsoft updates.
Any ideas?

I want to upgrade from Windows 2000 to Windows XP. Will I need to reinstall my existing programs? Or, will I be able to run them without the need for this?

I need to install windows server 2003 on a computer that currently has windows XP installed on it. When I go to install windows server, an error message comes up saying that I can not upgrade from xp to server 2003. When I try to do a clean install, a blue screen error message comes up saying that a problem has occurced, the computer was shut dow to prevent damage to your computer. Any Ideas?

I have toe Windows XP 2002 Home edition and want to upgrade it to Professional. However, the upgrade is 64-Bit and the home is the 32-Bit, I think. Is there a way I can download drivers for the 32-bit XP Home that will make it possible for me to upgrade to XP Pro 64-Bit?

I am trying to reinstall a version of windows xp to fix a problem on a computer, my computer is Windows Home edition, however, i found a windows professional, and im installing that right now, will it just upgrade and keep my old files, or will all my old folders and files be deleted? i can still stop the installatin rite now so please hurry.

I have HP pavilion dv6119.
AMD Turion 64X2
Nvidia Geforce 6150
1 GB ram
Windows XP Media Center Edition
It has a sticker that says Windows Vista Capable
and I have a Vista Home premium 64/32
I would like to know the pros and cons of upgrading xp to vista 64 bit and to vista 32 bit
the reasons are appreciated
for example, it would get slower because the ram is only 1gb
It seems like no one is gonna recommend the upgrade. I modified my xp to vista look anyway. Maybe i should be satisfied with that.
How about from Vista home premium 32 bit to 64 bit?
