Sims 3 fine on Vista lags on Win 7?

Wednesday 28 October 2009 @ 5:16 am
win 7 drivers

I recently upgraded my system from Windows Vista x64 to Windows 7 x64 and installed all the games that I had. Where Crysis ran perfectly fine on Win 7, The Sims 3 started lagging like hell. I have upgraded all the drivers and everything but the game still lags. The confusing part is that it was working so smoothly in Vista that I can’t believe that it would be lagging in Win 7.

My specs:
Q6600, 6GB Ram, Radeon 4870 512MB

I don’t think its specs related as the game was running perfectly fine without ANY lag on Vista but started lagging (to the point of no playing) in Windows 7. I am running at the same settings as in Vista:
Resolution 1280×1024 etc. etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

How can I get the roller coaster tycoon expansion pack to work on my windows xp?

Sunday 3 May 2009 @ 6:11 am
windows xp

I found my old roller coaster tycoon games and I installed the basic one on my windows xp and it works fine. However, when I try to install the loopy landscapes and corkscrew follies expansion pack, it no longer works. It says I don’t have the requirements or something. I tried adjusting the compatibility settings but I’m not sure what to put it on, and none of the ones I’ve tried seem to work. Is there any way to make it run on windows xp?
