dunno when i fixed it , eh the [art about reporting multipal antivirus progam its now is saying no antivirus is found but i tried reinstalling the antivirus progam i have wich is symantec but no use arrgh … HELP!

I have windows xp and I have had some spy ware alerts on my tool bar the security system i have does not seem to remove them what can i do to get rid of these program files system restore only works if i go back to the beginning and i really don’t want to have to do that again. Is there any computer experts who can help me.

Sometimes when surfing the web, multiple toolbars will appear at the bottom of windows or windows xp. When there is about 6 or 7 websites inside the toolbar (on the right of the start button in the desktop), windows combines them all into one to form a group. But how do you close 3 or 4 website toolbars all at once so that you dont have to click on each individual one to close it?

i cannot use the cam because it says im behind a firewall ,i have got number for the ports but i dont know how to open them please help

I just reloaded windows XP on my computer, and now, instead of directly opening task manager with ctrl alt del, it opens windows security which gives options. I don’t use the startup screen because I’m the only one who uses the computer and I like it to load faster. It used to open task manager before the reload.

I’ve just purchased a new bit of software which I can’t get to run. Apparently according to the software website I need to uninstall a specific MS security upgrade, is this a good idea, I have the latest version of Norton, would that not provide me with the security that I need?
Thanks Gandalf, I now know how to uninstall it . Thanks Oddball i’m now not sure I want to uninstall it. The software in question is a heros of might and magic V from ubisoft but i should make it clear that the uninstall was only mentioned in a forum and is not suggested by ubisoft.

I have a lot of IE and XP security updates listed in Add/Remove Programs. Can I remove them after they are installed?

of it!!! I can’t believe norton didn’t protect me from this or my spy sweeper, it detects it, quartines it but when i restart it still there! caan someone please tell me how to get rid of it?

I have a Limited Account on my home computer, and I want to do things that require an Administrator Account. I have asked if I can have an Administrator Account, and the answer is no. So, I have to resort to trickery.

How can I bypass the security measures in place? Whether it’s finding out the administrator password, making windows believe I have an administrator account, whatever.

I originally posted this a few days ago, but I am putting more details with it. The fake message is red and white, covers my whole screen and says “warning, spyware detected on your computer” it also says,”install an antivirus or spyware remover to clean your computer’. iThat’s about it, I can’t get this damn thing off. I’ve tried just about everything, please help !!! ( I already have antispyware and antivirus on my computer)
