I have new version of avast antivirus downloaded in my PC… In the Scan Logs it shows virus found in the Full System Scan….Should I delete the log?? But if I’ll delete the Full System Scan Log then how will I run full system scan afterwards when I’ll need it??

I recently installed Microsoft Office Word onto my Laptop, after I had to delete it for another issue, and used Microsoft Works Processor for a while. But now that’s my default for opening documents. How can I make it Mic. Office word instead?

I want to delete Microsoft Outlook 2007. I tried using it, but I just do not like it. I want to go back to using my school’s webmail service. I can access that from anywhere. How do I go about getting rid of Microsoft Outlook 2007 and thus restoring emails to my school account?

I tried to reload WinXP professional with the original cd (pre SP1 version), my pc been updated with sp2. It won’t install and the message was the pc already has a newer version installed.
How do you get it to reinstall. I don’t want to delete all updates?

Everybody is saying that windows 7 is good and to download the free beta version. I want to but if it deletes everything on my computer I won’t!

I started limewire which i have done a few thousand times and this time it said that it needed the latest version of Java (JRE) I went to the website to make sure that I have the latest vesion. I do so i tried to download it again and my computer starts to run really slow. I tried to access java through the control panel and it says that there is a cyclic redundency error. I tried to delete the java through the add and remove apps but it would not let me. I am at a standstill. I am using the latest version of ie explorer and i also have firefox installed. I ran a virus check with three different programs and it found nothing in java. Can anyone offer me some suggestions of what to do? oh yeah i have also reinstalled limewire and have manually downloaded the JRE and tried to install it like that and get an error message as well, I cannot remember what it said but if anyone needs it to help out with suggestions on what I should do please let me know. I would appreciate any help!!!!
I did do a system restore and that did not help as well. any other suggestions so i don’t have to reformat the hard drive

Ok, I don’t have 2000 disks but i have my windows xp computer’s reformat disks. If I reformat my windows 2000 computer, can i put windows xp on there instead since i dont have the windows 2000 disks?

If i can, would it be slower then it would if i used the 2000 disks that i dont have?
My 2000 computer has way too many files on it and it is so slow i cant even delete them, so i need to know how to reformat it.

Hi, I want to restore or reset my computer back to its original state. I want to delete eveything (other than the drivers). Is there a way i can do this without having to completely reinstall windows? My restore points are also not working. Please give me instructions i really need help.
