My computer is kinda of a old model It is a HP515n. It seems to be still running great The only thing I have installed in it is 1gig of memory. This is what I have on my computer now.2.3GHZ Intel Celeron Processor,1 gig of DDR-SDR memory,80 GB-of Ultra hard drive,64 MB of Integrated and extreme graphics. What can I do to make any upgrades or do I need to just invest in another computer?

I’m thinking of buying an HP dv7-2043cl computer. It comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 (2.0GHz) processor, and I want to upgrade it to at least a P8600 (2.4GHz) processor. How much would that cost, and how much would a computer technician charge me for that?

I know you can’t upgrade Laptop video cards, by the way i have a 256mb 8400m gs so give your opinion on that.
But is it possible to upgrade your cpu, i have a intel centrino t5550 on a HP Pavilion dv6871us.
It has 320gb HDD, 3 gb ram DDR2, 15.4 in, vista home premium etc, it was $1050 before rebate.

Wait for Windows 7 to come out and then upgrade my hardware, or do it now?

I use it 50% for gaming (WoW and Company of Heroes) and 50% for general web surfing.

2x340gig Seagate 7200 RPM drives in Raid0
Intel E8400 3Ghz Processor

Does it make sense to go to the new I7 processor based systems?

Here are my specs: Windows XP SP2; Intel Pentium M Processor 1.73ghz; 1gb RAM; Mobile Intel 914GM/GMS, 910 GML Express Chipset Family. I’ve had my HP Laptop for a little over 3 years. I would like to know what I should upgrade and what I can upgrade. Thanks in advance.

I own a Acer Aspire 5715Z Laptop it currently runs a the original processor;
Intel Pentium CPU T2330 @ 1.60GHz
Is there a possible upgrade to this processor and what would it be?

I have an “ok” computer. I mainly use it for gaming (Counter Strike source, HL2, Garry’s Mod). It’s been running kinda slow so I looked up some upgrades. I’ve found a few but can’t afford all of them. I’ve choosing between getting a GEFORCE 7800GTX 256MB PCIE and 1Gb of Ram, or getting a new motherboard and a Intel dual core processor (my current mobo doesn’t support dual core). If anyone can tell me if there’s another option that’s better, please do. I have about $300 to spend.
