I want to be able to be on photoshop and youtube without freezing. I have an $800 budget. I know most Laptops have 2GB – 4GB ram but many reviews say they have problems with the hardware and all. Which Laptop would you recommend for me?

I’m starting a 4-year life sciences program next year and am in the market for a Laptop. What’s the best one I can get that has a pretty big screen and not so heavy? Are there any features or software I should definitely make sure to get? Do ULV Laptops generally have a lower performance?

I am wondering which Laptops are best for college students. I want a Laptop about $1000. I need A LOT of storage space that can handle and itunes account with over 5000 songs and a lot of photos.

Hi. Most of my friends have Laptops with Windows 7. They say its great and that it is much faster than Windows Vista and Windows XP. I would like to change from Windows XP to Windows 7. Does the chang affect the information and the programs found in the computer? I nee your help please!!

I am a high school student in search of a Laptop. I’ve seen many Laptops in ads for best buy and other stores that are under $1000. Some of them are as low as $600. I was wondering, for my purposes, would one of these Laptops be good enough? Also, in 2 years when I go to college, will this Laptop still be good enough? Finally, I was hoping to find a colored Laptop, preferably red. The only one I’ve really seen so far is the sony vaio, which is way out of my price range. Any suggestions?

Say i have 2 Laptops and on one Laptop the screen is black but i can hear the drives/fans spinning, can i connect this dead screen Laptop to a good Laptop via male-to-male vga (or DVI) cable to see if if it’s just the screen that the problem is with?

I suppose i would press Fn + F7 to switch to the other Laptop monitor.

I know you can do this with an external monitor but how about Laptop to Laptop?

I’m looking to upgrade my Laptop so that it performs better with the games I play/want to play but I have heard conflicting things about whether it’s even possible to upgrade a Laptop.

Some people say none can, some people say certain Laptops can be.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A210-198 so would I be able to upgrade it?

On a side note, if they can be upgraded what are good components to upgrade to?
Can I find out whether I have onboard graphics or seperate graphics without opening it?

I want to upgrade my Laptops graphics card, but i heard i can only do it externaly. how do i go about doing this?
