I have Laptop running Vista on only 1 GB of RAM. I want to upgrade to 2 but I don’t know if that will negatively impact battery life (I’m pretty sure it will). I currently get about 5 hours of gas out of one charge, so I’m wondering if it’s possible to maintain this life while having more RAM? Thanks in advance for your help.

I am building a computer and it needs an Operating System. I was wondering if it is possible to download the Windows 7 RC from another comp and use Win 7 RC until Win 7 is released so I don’t have to pay for Vista which I am just going to replace anyway.

I want to organize my episodes of a TV show in the correct order in Windows 7, and you can only organize them into set orders (like right click>sort by). I want to be able to drag and drop into order. How do I do this? Thanks in advance!

I have windows 98 & really think I need to restore my system as it is “acting” really strange since my friend played around with settings etc last night. I have no idea where to find system resore for windows 98! Please help!! If you need more info, just ask as your answer & I will add more details.

I normally use Windows Vista, but I wanted to change things up a bit and use Windows 7. When I installed everything and partitioned my drive (obviously not in that order) everything went smoothly. However, I noticed that the graphics (ex. the desktop icons, text, etc) were significantly larger than Vista and not as sharp. Is there any way I can make them normal? Thanks in advance!

I installed Windows 7 a couple weeks ago on my Laptop. But I am considering installing it onto my desktop. Does anyone know if the operating system will brick its self before the official release of the OS?
I intend on buy Windows 7 and have a beta key.
When upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7, will I loose my current files?
