question about Win 7 upgrade version?

I have vista home premium and wish to up it to Win 7 home premium, can I do a “clean install with the upgrade version or do I need to purchase the “full version” for 80.00 more? Tell me any risks with doing the upgrade path. Thank you

i have vista home premium and i want to upgrade to win 7 pro. i want to do the upgrade install, not the custom install and loose all my data. i have access to vista business, can i upgrade to vista bisness without loosing all my data, and then do a upgrade to 7 pro?

Windows 7 free upgrade disc- can i do clean install or use on different comp?

Hi all

Im owner of SONY Vaio Notebook Z series.

I bougt it 2 weeks ago with VISTA x64 and soon im getting free upgrade to Win 7 from sony!

Now my questions -

Can i do fresc/clean install of WIN7 or i can do only upgrade?

And, can i use this win 7 upgrade disc with other computer,(my desktop comp) ?

when i say about clean install i mean will Win 7 delete all Vista files ? . Do i need to format HD before instalation of Win 7 ?

how to get back my win 7?

I was using windows 7 for the past 3 months now i installed windows Xp professional in the other partition, during booting its not asking for windows 7 ,its straight away going to windows xp ..
i want my wndows 7 back and i dont have windows 7 cd for repairing ..
is there any possible way to get back my win 7.

I just installed Win 7 RTM, and all my drivers are working, is there any benefit to installing the manufacturer driver. For example, should I install the video card driver?

When will Dell send me my win 7 free upgrade – bought a new Laptop from dell in Sept – they said it would be upgraded to win 7 for free – cannot get them to tell me when – has anyone else had the same experience?
