How do I uninstall antivirus plus from my computer? I have windows vista. The last group that gave me advice, the advice didn’t work, so here I am trying it again.

I have desktop computer that has a printer plugged into it. The desktop runs Windows XP. I also have a Laptop that runs Windows Vista. I have a wireless router connected to the desktop so I can connect my Laptop to the internet, but can I wirelessly print things off my Laptop? My husband uses the desktop for school and I use the Laptop for work and I’d rather not have to keep switching the plugs around.

I have a Gateway Laptop and it came with Windows Vista on it, I had to reinstall it because of an issue with the Laptop. I used the disk that came with it and reinstalled everything but now the wireless is not working. It worked before but now it seems the disk did not reinstall the driver I need. Anyone know where I can download this? I went to Microsoft and it downloaded 75 updates none of which fixed the wireless issue.

I have a Winfast PVR2000 PCI card that I try to plug it into my computer. Once I set the card inside the computer, I turn the computer and Windows automatic find the drivers for it. The problem is I don’t want it to install a driver. In XP you get to chose whether or not to allow Windows to try to look up a driver and install it automatically. Is there a way to stop it from search and install.
I tried:
-Right Click the icon and no additional menu pop up to stop it.
-Open the status of the installation, no other option beside “Hide” the window.
Conclusion: Any idea where can change the settings of automatic search and install driver.

I do not have a serial port on my PC; only a USB port. I need to buy a USB-to-RS232 cable to connect a modem. Will the cable work without driver software in Windows Vista?

I have windows vista and I am trying to install an older version of xp which is 2002 but for some reason it says “Setup cannot continue because the version of Windows on your computer is newer than the version on the CD.

Warning: If you decide to delete the newer version of Windows that is currently installed on your computer, the files and settings cannot be recovered.”

but there is nothing that says continue ,or to proceed with the action that i have chosen, so what do i do?

my mum re-formatted my computer and now my speakers dont work. i have the compaq pressario SR2109UK! anyone no how to get the udio driver for that? im on wondows xp! but when i bought the computer it was windows vista! but i cant find the cd to re-install vista!

I have heard that in Windows Vista (32bit) it doenst really do any good to upgrade from 2 to 4 gigs of RAM. There is no performance gain and Vista can only recognize up to 3.25 gigs. Are there any knowledgable computer users out there to help me clarify this?

Hi, recently i decided to reinstall Windows Vista using the disc that came with my computer, i followed the instructions step by step and finally had it installed again, however when i start my Laptop up it gives me the option to go onto this new vista (holding new account) or old vista (holding old account), this is quite annoying i only wanted to make my Laptop run quicker like when i first got it.
Does anyone please no how to remove one of these Vistas?

I had an old computer recently replacd by Vista. Once, an updated video driver from Microsoft’s automatic updates nearly killed that system. Is it OK to use Windows Vista’s driver updates, or should I go to each website and double-check?
