I’ve been running XP for about 2 years now, but I have to fdisk and format, but I have no other windows software except for win95 and an winxp upgrade version.

I just want receive the Beta form on my Xp desk top and the old form on my win 98 lap top. Is that possible, or do I have to switch back and forth?

I have win xp sp2 cd but not original. so activation pereiod going to be finished. I have another Win XP upgrade cd which need not a validation. but can not upgrade since it is a previous version. Can anybody tell me to do this please.

hi.if i change my motherboard and cpu as a combo will i have to buy a new operating system.i plan to leave my two hard drives DVD Drive and evertything else the same,only change mobo and cpu.
i have win xp home.
will win xp still boot from my HDD, or does the new chipset on the new mobo not allow it all.

Hi all,
i uninstalled my Win xp and installed a Win Xp with service pack 2 . But after installation . When it boots up , it’s stopping with a message ” windows is starting up ” for more than 10 minutes . Can anybody please help me to solve this problem . i used other Xp Cd’s and repaired again , but no results . One more thing is the CMOS battery has gone .Will that be a problem ?

I have Win XP installed on my PC using a serial number. Is there any provision to change the serial number that I have given during installation?

I guess I’m asking this because in the future my friend is prob going to build me a comp and all it will need is Win 7. I’m afraid if I get the XP to Win 7 then whenever I do install this on my new comp I will have to install XP 1st. Also I’m pretty sure I know the answer to this but if I do upgrade, everything get’s wiped on C:\ right?
