I have an empty, formatted hard drive attached as a secondary drive. I want to install XP on this drive from the XP install disc. I am running Windows Vista on the computer they are both attached to. My ultimate goal is to install XP on the drive and put it into a different computer.

Hi. Most of my friends have Laptops with Windows 7. They say its great and that it is much faster than Windows Vista and Windows XP. I would like to change from Windows XP to Windows 7. Does the chang affect the information and the programs found in the computer? I nee your help please!!

Hi Windows XP – c\windows\system32\drivers\usbuhci.sys

Anyone know what this driver is for and if I can remove it? When I do a virus scan it wont go past this and reports and error. Can I remove this?

How can I uninstall the windows xp ? Because I am only using windows 7 and the xp takes a lot of memory space .

Here is the problem: On the same computer I have a version of Windows XP Pro that won’t start up. This is where I have all my documents and photos. I also have a version of Windows Home Edition that will start up ok but it’s empty . I would like to either get my xp pro to work again OR transfer all my documents from pictures from xp pro to Home edition.

Anybody know how to do that?

i have pc with windows ME and i want to install windows xp on it. anyway, i don’t have the start up disk. is it possible to install windows xp over windows ME without using start up disk?

I bought a used desktop which has windows 7 ultimate installed on it. After a few weeks i m getting a message that the windows is not genuine. There is a product key printed on the computer for Windows XP. I tried to install Windows XP by formatting the hard disk but the setup doesn’t even start. I wonder if i have to do something else before trying to install windows XP. Any one can help with this please.

I have windows vista and I am trying to install an older version of xp which is 2002 but for some reason it says “Setup cannot continue because the version of Windows on your computer is newer than the version on the CD.

Warning: If you decide to delete the newer version of Windows that is currently installed on your computer, the files and settings cannot be recovered.”

but there is nothing that says continue ,or to proceed with the action that i have chosen, so what do i do?
